CHRISTMAS HANDICAP - 5 MILES SUNDAY 17TH DECEMBER 2017 START at 10.00

Meet at Nunholm between 9 and 9.30 and register with Les Hill in the bar area.

The course is the Holywood Stroll route.

ENTRY FEE - Each entrant is required to donate a wrapped Christmas gift valued at around £5 at the registration.

Please ensure the gift is something that would be appreciated by a lady or a man and please use some initiative and avoid bottles of wine.

We will make our way from the sports club at Nunholm around 9.40 and head to the start area under the By-Pass.

When registering you will be asked to estimate your expected time for 5 miles.

The start times will be staggered. This will be based on the estimates with the slowest runners starting first and the fastest runners starting last.

If everyone estimates accurately then with the handicapping system we should all finish around the same time.

You will NOT be permitted to wear or carry a watch or other timing device, such as a phone.

The person who finishes closest to their estimated time will win the trophy. The wrapped Christmas gifts will be selected by the runners in finishing order based on runners finishing slower than estimated times before those who beat their estimated times.

Four volunteers are needed to record the finishing order and times. This is the minimum required to hold the event but any additional volunteers will be put to good use as marshals out on the course in case some runners don’t know the route.

E-mail me at  les14hill@gmail.com  if you can lend a hand.

Numbers will be issued at registration. Please try to remember and bring pins with you as I have a limited supply.

If you have any questions then send me an e-mail to  les14hill@gmail.com  and I will do my best to answer them.
